The Crew

The task of forming a new club is very large. We have made considerable progress due to several important people. Since all of the members may not get to meet everyone before the season begins, I have provided a short introduction.

Brian Barrett:  Brian runs his own business and serves as the hunting manager for Cartanza Farms. He is a lifelong resident of the area and will around the farms almost every day. He has agreed to assist the club on the busy days with numerous tasks to prepare for our hunts. You may be joining him in the blind at times. He was raised on the adjacent "Round Barn" Farm in Little Creek and has a lifelong knowledge of the region. His mother operates the Little Creek Deli which has become a mid-day lunch favorite for many of us.

Ted Brogan:  Ted ("Teddy") just can't seem to work hard enough on all aspects of the club. His approach to hunting is the same and the result shows in this bag. We all appreciate his "just get it done" attitude and willingness to put in the hours to make the hunting better for us all. Ted has helped many of the new deer members this year. He is always willing to show any members anything....once. I have asked to to assist Andy with the deer hunting for the upcoming season. Like Andy, I trust Teddy in the field to make the right judgments and serve as a resource for all of the deer hunters. Teddy works at Scott Paper resides in Norwood PA

Bobby Burris:  Bobby is the General Manager of the Hunting preserve and runs the Upland Kennel. Bobby has spent a lifetime in the hunting business. He is ran the hunting business at Pintail Point for twelve years and was recently with the Quaker Neck Gun Club.

Jake Corrice:  Jake started the season as a hired helper. He has demonstrated his commitment to us through his long evening and weekend jobs at the club. Many projects were completed through his hard work. Jake will be joining us for the upcoming season and I hope every member has the pleasure of his company in the field. Jake is employed full time in the Dover Area and lives nearby

Jeff Ickes:  Jeff has spent many hours putting this site together for us. I have enjoyed hunting with Jeff for many years--he's a fun guy to have around! Jeff lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He is Vice President of Wealth Management with Citigroup/Smith Barney, very knowledgeable in the area of wood and waterfowl calls, and has a cool website--Unique Wood World and Waterfowl Calls.

Jerry Kucharski:  Jerry has a landscaping business in North Wilmington That keeps him busy in the off-season. He operates Del-Bay Guide Service and specializes in snow goose hunts. He began like many of us hunting with his father in Kent County Delaware and later was a guide for M&M while the commercial operation was still in Delaware. Jerry is married with three children. Due to Jerry's considerable assistance in the formation of this club, I will continue my long-standing relationship to share access to properties. He will be setting up several snow goose parties for club members, so many of you will get to know him well.

Bill Meade: Bill ("Big Blue") has become the social director and one of the most active members in the club. He has worked hard to help with the hunting lodge and coordinate overnight stays at the Dorchester County Apartment. During the year, I have asked Bill to assist in managing the lodge, which he has done with great success. Therefore, Bill will continue to run the lodge in the 2006-2007 season. If you have not meet Bill during the first week as a member, do not worry. He will find you. Bill is retired and lives in Richmond Virginia.

Andy Minch:  Andy is one of the most accomplished deer hunters I have known. He has taken "wall hangers" in several states. As a member of the club, he has agreed to manage the deer hunts for the club. His work goes back to early spring and we sill see the results of his hard work this season. I have hunted waterfowl with Andy for more than a decade and consider him one of my closest friends. He is another person that all of us would enjoy spending a day with in a duck blind.

Rick Pulling: Rick ("The Docktor") has become a respected member, and I have grown to trust his opinion and judgment this year. I certainly appreciate his work ethic, tireless efforts and concept of the sharing the club assets with all the members. Since we have all benefited from his leadership, I have asked Rick to assist me in managing the club. Rick is a Captain in the Delaware State Police and lives in the Middletown Area.
